Enter the world of AI and the human dynamics that power frontier tech disruptors.

Frontier technology doesn’t just change how we build; it changes how we live, work, and interact as a society. Acme AI Ltd is looking for a sharp, articulate, and curious Social Research Fellow to help us explore and communicate the socio-economic impacts of AI and emerging tech.

Designed specifically for final-year Sociology or Economics students with a flair for writing, this 3-month fellowship is an opportunity to bridge the gap between academic research and public thought leadership. You will be the voice behind Acme AI’s sponsored publications, translating complex tech trends into compelling whitepapers, blogs, and visual narratives. Successful completion of the fellowship may lead to a full-time role within the company.

  • Deep-Dive Research: Research and author high-quality whitepapers, in-depth blog posts, and thought-leadership articles focusing on the intersection of AI, society, and economics.
  • Publication Management: Assist in the end-to-end development of formal publications sponsored by Acme AI, including editing, formatting, fact-checking, third party researcher liaison, and coordinating with design teams.
  • Trend Ideation: Continuously monitor socio-economic trends, academic journals, and tech news to pitch and develop new research topics that align with Acme AI’s strategic vision.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Acme AI’s technical and product teams to ensure all published content is technically accurate, insightful, and accessible to a broader audience.
  • Visual Storytelling: Translate complex written research into engaging scripts, storyboards, and conceptual frameworks for AV content (videos, podcasts, or multimedia presentations).

EXPERIENCE + QUALIFICATION

  • Education: Final-year student (or very recent graduate) in Sociology, Economics, or a closely related social science field from a reputed university.
  • Exceptional Writer: Outstanding writing, editing, and storytelling skills. You can write rigorously for academics and engagingly for the general public. (A writing sample/portfolio is mandatory).
  • Analytical Mindset: A strong grasp of socio-economic theories and the ability to apply them to modern technological disruptions.
  • Visual Thinker: Ability to adapt formal research into dynamic, digestible formats for audio-visual media.
  • Tech-Curious: A genuine interest in Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, and how frontier tech is reshaping the global economy and human behavior.
  • Tool Proficiency: Adept in standard office suites (MSWord, PowerPoint, Excel) and familiar with basic multimedia or research tools (e.g., Canva, Mendeley, Zotero, or basic video editing software is a plus).
